Cash in Transit Award Allowances 2025–26

Allowances under the Cash in Transit Award are extra payments for specific conditions, skills, or expenses. They are one of the most commonly missed entitlements after penalty rates.
Current allowances
| Allowance | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| First aid allowance | $16.15 per week | If you are designated as the first aid officer and hold a current first aid qualification, you are entitled to a weekly first aid allowance. |
| Meal allowance | $20.22 per shift | If you are required to work overtime and a meal break is not provided, you are entitled to a meal allowance. |
| ATM work allowance | $9.09 per shift | If you are required to perform ATM servicing or replenishment work, you are entitled to a daily allowance. |
| Vehicle allowance | $0.98 per km | If you are required to use your own vehicle for work purposes, you are entitled to a per-kilometre allowance. |
