Electrical Contracting Award Classification Levels 2025–26

Rates effective 1 July 2025 · MA000025

Your classification level under the Electrical Contracting Award determines your minimum pay rate. Being classified one level too low can cost you $2–4 per hour — more than $3,000 per year for a full-time worker.

Level 1Electrical Worker — Grade 1

Base rate: $24.95/hr · Casual: $31.19/hr

Level 2Electrical Worker — Grade 2

Base rate: $25.45/hr · Casual: $31.81/hr

Level 3Electrical Worker — Grade 3

Base rate: $26.30/hr · Casual: $32.88/hr

Level 4Electrical Worker — Grade 4

Base rate: $27.00/hr · Casual: $33.75/hr

Level 5Electrical Worker — Grade 5

Base rate: $28.12/hr · Casual: $35.15/hr

Level 6Electrical Worker — Grade 6

Base rate: $29.00/hr · Casual: $36.25/hr

Level 7Electrical Worker — Grade 7

Base rate: $30.00/hr · Casual: $37.50/hr

Level 8Electrical Worker — Grade 8
