Licensed Clubs Award Allowances 2025–26

Allowances under the Licensed Clubs Award are extra payments for specific conditions, skills, or expenses. They are one of the most commonly missed entitlements after penalty rates.
Current allowances
| Allowance | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Meal allowance | $16.73 per meal | If you are required to work overtime and a meal break falls during that overtime, you are entitled to a meal allowance. |
| Split shift allowance (long) | $5.34 per shift | If you work a split shift with a break of more than the minimum, you receive a split shift allowance. |
| First aid allowance (full-time) | $12.82 per week | If you hold a current first aid certificate and are appointed as first aid officer, you receive a weekly allowance (full-time employees). |
| First aid allowance (part-time/casual) | $2.56 per day | If you hold a current first aid certificate and are appointed as first aid officer, you receive a daily allowance (part-time and casual employees). |
| Laundry allowance (full-time) | $6.00 per week | If you are required to launder your own uniform or special clothing, you receive a weekly laundry allowance (full-time employees). |
| Laundry allowance (part-time/casual) | $2.05 per uniform | If you are required to launder your own uniform or special clothing, you receive a per-uniform allowance (part-time and casual employees). |
| Tool allowance | $2.03 per day | If you are required to provide and use your own tools, you receive a daily tool allowance. |
| Vehicle allowance | $0.99 per km | If you are required to use your own vehicle for work purposes, you receive a per-kilometre allowance. |
