Meat Industry Award Classification Levels 2025–26

Rates effective 1 July 2025 · MA000059

Your classification level under the Meat Industry Award determines your minimum pay rate. Being classified one level too low can cost you $2–4 per hour — more than $3,000 per year for a full-time worker.

Base rate: $24.28/hr · Casual: $30.35/hr

Level 2Meat Industry Worker — MI 2

Base rate: $25.09/hr · Casual: $31.36/hr

Level 3Meat Industry Worker — MI 3

Base rate: $25.40/hr · Casual: $31.75/hr

Level 4Meat Industry Worker — MI 4

Base rate: $25.99/hr · Casual: $32.49/hr

Level 5Meat Industry Worker — MI 5

Base rate: $26.45/hr · Casual: $33.06/hr

Level 6Meat Industry Worker — MI 6

Base rate: $26.99/hr · Casual: $33.74/hr

Base rate: $28.12/hr · Casual: $35.15/hr
