Pharmacy Award Classification Levels 2025–26

Rates effective 1 July 2025 · MA000012

Your classification level under the Pharmacy Award determines your minimum pay rate. Being classified one level too low can cost you $2–4 per hour — more than $3,000 per year for a full-time worker.

Base rate: $26.55/hr · Casual: $33.19/hr

Level 2Pharmacy Assistant Level 2

Base rate: $27.16/hr · Casual: $33.95/hr

Level 3Pharmacy Assistant Level 3

Base rate: $28.12/hr · Casual: $35.15/hr

Level 4Pharmacy Assistant Level 4

Base rate: $29.27/hr · Casual: $36.59/hr

Level 5Pharmacy Intern (1st half)

Base rate: $31.05/hr · Casual: $38.81/hr

Level 6Pharmacy Intern (2nd half)

Base rate: $32.11/hr · Casual: $40.14/hr

Level 7Pharmacist

Base rate: $38.14/hr · Casual: $47.68/hr

Level 8Experienced Pharmacist

Base rate: $41.78/hr · Casual: $52.23/hr

Level 9Pharmacist in Charge

Base rate: $42.76/hr · Casual: $53.45/hr

Level 10Pharmacist Manager

Base rate: $47.65/hr · Casual: $59.56/hr
