Diving (Industrial) Award Allowances 2025–26

Allowances under the Diving (Industrial) Award are extra payments for specific conditions, skills, or expenses. They are one of the most commonly missed entitlements after penalty rates.
Current allowances

| Clothing and equipment allowance — Casual employees | $8.75 per shift | Clothing and equipment allowance for casual employees. |
| Clothing and equipment allowance — Full-time employees | $108.61 per month | Clothing and equipment allowance for full-time employees. |
| Distant work allowance — Accommodation and meals | $487.71 per week | Allowance for accommodation and meals when working away from home. |
| Distant work allowance — Accommodation and meals (broken parts of the week) | $69.73 per shift | Daily rate for broken parts of the week when working distant. |
| Distant work allowance — Expenses | $9.34 per shift | Expenses allowance for distant work. |
| Distant work allowance — Use of own vehicle | $0.98 per km | Vehicle allowance for using own vehicle for work purposes. |
