Market Research Award Allowances 2025–26

Allowances under the Market Research Award are extra payments for specific conditions, skills, or expenses. They are one of the most commonly missed entitlements after penalty rates.
Current allowances
| Allowance | Amount | When it applies |

| Vehicle allowance | $0.98 per km | If you are required to use your own vehicle for work purposes, you receive $0.98 per kilometre. |
| Telephone reimbursement | $0.00 | If you are required to use your own telephone for work, you are reimbursed for the cost of rental and all work-related calls. |
| Telephone reimbursement — installation required | $0.00 | If your employer requires you to install a telephone for work purposes, you are reimbursed for installation, rental, and all work-related calls. |
| Expenses reimbursement | $0.00 | You are reimbursed for all expenses that have been actually and properly incurred for work purposes. |
| Relocation reimbursement | $0.00 | If your employer requires you to relocate, you are reimbursed for the reasonable costs of relocating personal and household effects and immediate dependent family. |
| Damage to or theft of clothing or belongings reimbursement | $501.20 per claim | If your clothing or belongings are damaged or stolen at work, you are reimbursed up to a maximum of $501.20 per claim. |
