Market Research Award Classification Levels 2025–26

Rates effective 1 July 2025 · MA000030

Your classification level under the Market Research Award determines your minimum pay rate. Being classified one level too low can cost you $2–4 per hour — more than $3,000 per year for a full-time worker.

Base rate: $25.38/hr · Casual: $31.73/hr

Level 2Support Employee — First Year

Base rate: $27.52/hr · Casual: $34.40/hr

Level 3Support Employee — Thereafter

Base rate: $28.29/hr · Casual: $35.36/hr

Level 4Market Research Interviewer

Base rate: $28.29/hr · Casual: $35.36/hr

Level 5Executive (Face-to-Face) Interviewer / Door-to-Door Interviewer

Base rate: $28.57/hr · Casual: $35.71/hr

Level 6Editor / Coder / Keyboard Operator

Base rate: $28.78/hr · Casual: $35.98/hr

Level 7Team Leader

Base rate: $30.13/hr · Casual: $37.66/hr

Level 8Field Supervisor

Base rate: $32.36/hr · Casual: $40.45/hr

Level 9Research Assistant

Base rate: $32.36/hr · Casual: $40.45/hr

Level 10Field Manager

Base rate: $35.35/hr · Casual: $44.19/hr

Level 11Research Officer

Base rate: $35.35/hr · Casual: $44.19/hr

Level 12Research Manager

Base rate: $46.53/hr · Casual: $58.16/hr
