Your classification level under the School General Staff Award determines your minimum pay rate. Being classified one level too low can cost you $2–4 per hour — more than $3,000 per year for a full-time worker.

Level 4Level 4 — School Support Staff

Base rate: $29.70/hr · Casual: $37.13/hr

Level 5Level 5 — School Support Staff

Base rate: $32.20/hr · Casual: $40.25/hr

Level 6Level 6 — School Support Staff

Base rate: $34.50/hr · Casual: $43.13/hr

Level 7Level 7 — School Support Staff

Base rate: $36.85/hr · Casual: $46.06/hr

Level 8Level 8 — School Support Staff

Base rate: $39.20/hr · Casual: $49.00/hr
