Seagoing Industry Award Allowances 2025–26

Allowances under the Seagoing Industry Award are extra payments for specific conditions, skills, or expenses. They are one of the most commonly missed entitlements after penalty rates.
Current allowances

| Accommodation allowance | $203.07 per shift | Accommodation allowance for vessels not granted a temporary licence. |
| Meal allowance — breakfast | $27.00 per meal | Breakfast meal allowance. |
| Meal allowance — lunch | $32.58 per meal | Lunch meal allowance. |
| Meal allowance — dinner | $53.98 per meal | Dinner meal allowance. |
| Disturbance of sleep allowance | $28.92 per shift | Allowance for disturbance of sleep. |
| Tanker allowance | $12.84 per shift | Tanker allowance per day. |
| Damage to personal effects allowance | $5439.00 per event | Compensation for damage to personal effects up to $5,439. |
