Cleaning Award Penalty Rates 2025

Penalty rates are higher pay rates for working at particular times — weekends, public holidays, evenings, and late nights. These multipliers are applied to your base hourly rate.
Full-time & part-time penalty rates

Casual penalty rates
Casual penalty rate multipliers are applied to the casual base rate, which already includes the 25% casual loading.

| Sunday | ×1.8 | Casual Sunday — $58.16/$32.31 = ×1.80 (×2.25 FT) |
| Public Holiday | ×2.2 | Casual public holiday — $71.09/$32.31 = ×2.20 (×2.75 FT) |
